Read the poem “Smile – Part I, Smile – Part II” and answer the questions.
1. If at times you feel you want to run
And life seems such a trial
Above the clouds there’s a bright yellow sky
So make your tears a smile.
2. As you travel on life’s way
With its many lefts and rights
Remember it’s quite true to say
One smile is worth 20 fights.
3. Among the world’s expensive things
A smile is very cheap
And when you give a smile away,
You get one back to keep.
4. Joy comes at times to all
And excitement comes unbidden
But sometimes a few tears must fall
Although fast, and hidden.
5. So when friends show struggles on their face
And troubles round them piled
The world will seem a better place
And all because you smiled.
Smile - Part II

6. If at times you feel you want to cry
And life seems such a trial
Above the clouds there’s a bright sky
So make your tears a smile.
7. As you travel on life’s way
With its many ups and downs
Remember it’s quite true to say
One smile is worth a million frowns.
8. Among the world’s finer things
A smile is very cheap
And when you give a smile away,
You get one back to keep.
9. Excitement comes at times to all
And joy comes unbidden
But sometimes a few tears must fall
Though they be small and hidden.
10. So when friends have a frown on their face
And troubles around them piled
The world will seem a better place
And all because you smiled.
