NEA Foundation Learning and Leadership Grants

The NEA Foundation is giving away Grants (Amount $2,000 to $5,000)for the professional development of public school teachers and faculty in public institutions of higher education.
Professional development is expected to improve practice, curriculum and student achievement.The recipients must put professional leadership into practice by sharing what they learn with their colleagues.

    These grants are awarded for one of two purposes:

  • Individual Grants are awarded to fund summer institutes, conferences or action research. The grant reward is 2000$
  • Group based grants are awarded to fund study groups, action research, lesson plan development and for faculty or staff to gain mentoring experience. The group based grant reward is 5000$.

All Partner Information must be included for group based grant applications.

Grant Amount: 2000$,5000$
Eligibility: National Education Association (NEA) members who are Public school teachers, Public education support professionals, and /or faculty and staff in Public institutions of higher education
Duration: 12 months, from the date of award.
Deadline: Applications are due Ferbruary 1, June 1 and October 15 2016

Deadlines and Grant Notifications:

    Grant applications are reviewed three times a year

  • Application Received By: February 1 Notification by: April 15
  • Application Received By: June 1 Notification by: September 15
  • Application Received By: October 15 Notification by: January 15
