About the Speaker
Dr Alfred S. Lewis
Superintendent of Schools at Weymouth Township School District
Dr Alfred S. Lewis, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, has dedicated his career to improving the lives of children in South Jersey through principled servant-leadership. With a background as an elementary teacher and a curriculum supervisor, Mr. Lewis has been instrumental in modernizing educational programs and enhancing teacher practices.
Notably, he created a no-cost Summer STEAM Camp for underrepresented students while serving in Gloucester Township Public Schools. A proud Rowan University alumnus, Mr. Lewis holds Bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and History and a Master’s degree in elementary mathematics and literacy from Walden University. He is currently a doctoral candidate specializing in educational leadership.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Lewis is passionate about hockey, coaching youth teams, and cherishing family time. Since July 1, 2022, he has served as Superintendent of Weymouth Township School District, overseeing district operations and budget management.
